South Dakota pheasant hunt Dec. '05 with Gary, shown here, Beau and Scout. This is Scout's fourth Dakota hunt as a UKC titled Hunting Retriever

As I mentioned in the Hunting introduction, on Scout's first SD hunt, he still had lots to learn. Here, in this picture, he's darn near as good as it gets. This is Dec. '05. He's a UKC Hunting Retriever with two AKC Senior Hunter legs. What a difference a little experience and hunt testing made from his first hunt. Prior to this trip he retrieved ducks, flushed and retrieved pheasants in ND with Beau in '04, and more pheasants the same year in SD. Birds make bird dogs.
